As you continue your history filled eco-tour to the unspoiled barrier island salt marshes and beaches of Brunswick and the Golden Isles of St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Little St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island.  Recognized by savvy travelers as a timeless coastal habitat that has for the most part escaped developer’s bull dozers more so than our Carolina neighbors to the north or our Florida neighbors to the south, these historic coastal destinations are far better suited for slow travel through Georgia’s award winning coastal Heritage Corridor.   

There is a reason that Georgia is ranked number two in the Southeast as a tourism mecca for international, national, and regional travelers alike.  Not the least of which is our Georgia Coast offers plenty of outdoor sporting activities wrapped tightly in a rich heritage and culture dating back over the past several hundred years or so of succeeding habitation of Native Americans, Spanish, French, and English settlers right on up to modern day Americana.
